I recently took my father to see Dr. Al Rashida for an elderly physical and cognitive assessment, and it was the worst visit I've ever experienced with any physician. My father hadn't seen Dr. Al Rashida in two years as he hadn't been ill. Her immediate response to this was, “You haven’t been here in years and thought you fell off the face of the earth, and now you come in here with all these problems when you should have been coming in more regularly.”
My father, who has had a traumatic brain injury and is showing signs of dementia or Alzheimer's decline, is difficult to bring to any wellness check. I wanted to assess his current condition and schedule follow-up testing. Despite conducting a thorough exam, Dr. Al Rashida listed various dietary changes without offering clear medical guidance. When I asked for her opinion, she suggested I follow up with her or someone else later. Throughout the visit, she appeared uninterested and annoyed, failing to acknowledge my presence, greet me, or make eye contact. I am his legal caregiver and she was aware of that.
Her demeanor was dismissive and even sarcastic when correcting my father, who mistakenly called a carrot a fruit. She did not address his tearful complaints about hip pain and offered no concrete treatment plan beyond dietary changes. My father left the appointment feeling defeated, and I was completely dissatisfied with her care and attitude.
I've since scheduled an appointment with another physician at the practice for follow-up testing. Dr. Al Rashida is leaving the practice next month, which may explain her apparent lack of empathy or desire to be a caring physician. I strongly recommend avoiding her for any medical care.

Worst doctor ever. Would spend very little time with me, referred me to Multiple specialists, got diagnoses wrong on referrals, would not address concerns I had. I would not recommend her.
